In Mecklenburg County, this is the best way to get connected to community resources, particularly related to housing. County Health Services A-Z Guide Department of Public Health Services for Adults Youth and Family Services Mecklenburg County Rental Subsidy Programs: • MeckHome in partnership with Foundation for the Carolinas and agency partners, Relatives, Roof Above and Salvation Army will provide rapid rehousing, rental subsidy and supportive services to families, youth and individuals who are homeless and earn less than 30% AMI. This program includes access to employment specialists to increase employment opportunities. • LINK Housing in partnership with Roof Above is designed to assist single/individual households by providing transitional housing for long term shelter guests that earn 30% AMI or below by way of master leasing until they secure permanent housing. • Keeping Families Together (KFT) in partnership with Supportive Housing Communities is a permanent supportive housing program that provides rental subsidies and supportive services to families with housing instability and frequent interactions with the child welfare and homeless systems to provide affordable, service-supported housing opportunities. • Housing for Good (H4G) in partnership with Community Link is a rapid rehousing program that will provide rental subsidies and supportive services by Mecklenburg County Community Support Services to families fleeing domestic violence. Naturally Occurring Affordable Housing (NOAHs) • Lake Mist Multi-Family Property in partnership with Archdale NOAH, LLC will implement a long-term 20-year deed restriction designating 100% of the units to be affordable at 80% AMI and below with 22 of those units being designated at 30% AMI with funding from Mecklenburg County at an amount equivalent to the annual property tax bill that translates to rental subsidy. • Harmony Place at Grier Heights in partnership with Grier Heights Economic Foundation will implement a long-term 15-year deed restriction for rental subsidy four-bedroom units at 30% AMI serving seniors ages 55 and above. • Maple Way Multi-Family Property in partnership with McAlway NOAH, LLC will implement a long-term 20-year deed restriction designating 100% of the units to be affordable at 80% AMI and below with 9 of those units being designated at 30% AMI with funding from Mecklenburg County at an amount equivalent to the annual property tax bill that translates to rental subsidy. • Pines at Wendover Multi-Family Property in partnership with Wendover NOAH, LLC will implement a long-term 20-year deed restriction designating 100% of the units to be affordable at 80% AMI and below with 6 of those units being designated at 30% AMI with funding from Mecklenburg County at an amount equivalent to the annual property tax bill that translates to rental subsidy. • Shamrock Garden Multi-Family Property in partnership with Shamrock NOAH, LLC will implement a long-term 20-year deed restriction designating 100% of the units to be affordable at 80% AMI and below with 40 of those units being designated at 30% AMI with funding from Mecklenburg County at an amount equivalent to the annual property tax bill that translates to rental subsidy. • Peppertreee Multi-Family Property in partnership with Peppertree NOAH, LLC will implement a long-term 20-year deed restriction designating 100% of the units to be affordable at 80% AMI and below with 44 of those units being designated at 30% AMI with funding from Mecklenburg County at an amount equivalent to the annual property tax bill that translates to rental subsidy. Work Force Development Resources: Charlotte Works - Workforce Development Board in Mecklenburg County. Inmates to Entrepreneurs - This nonprofit provides free entrepreneurship training and mentorship to people with a criminal record.
