Leigh worked as a public-interest attorney for over 17 years, including serving as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Georgia, a guardian ad litem for seniors in Mecklenburg County, and a staff attorney at Charlotte's Council for Children's Rights. On the County Commission, Commissioner Altman advocates every day for the economic empowerment and health of families.
Elected to the County Commission in 2020 as an At-Large member, Leigh is now in her second term and running for re-election in the 2024 March Primary. As a mother of three sons and County Commissioner representing all 1.1 million residents of this County, Leigh knows that families are priority number one, and she will fight for yours. |
