A Professional Career Built on Public Service

Leigh worked as a public-interest attorney for over 17 years, including serving as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Georgia, a guardian ad litem for seniors in Mecklenburg County, and a staff attorney at Charlotte's Council for Children's Rights. On the County Commission, Commissioner Altman advocates every day for the economic empowerment and health of families.

As a mother, a CMS parent, and a County Commissioner representing all 1.1 million residents of this County, Leigh knows that families are priority number one, and she will fight for yours.

"Altman is a smart and capable commissioner."
